FOS improves Gut Health and Intestine Flora/microbiome

The present document discusses the impact of fructo-oligosaccharides on gut health and intestinal microflora. Interventional studies among infants, adults (including pregnant women) and elderly are being shared. Studies show that intake of FOS improved fecal bifidobacteria and decreased pathogens. Further, FOS along with probiotic strain was more beneficial as compared to probiotic strain alone for improvement in lactobacilli count. Studies have also shown that FOS and its impact on improvement of bacteria is dose dependent.
